As part of your Taiwan work visa, Health Klinix can offer a full Taiwan employment visa medical service. This consists of the following:

A full medical examination is a requirement as part of a Taiwan visa medical. This consists of a physical examination, blood pressure, blood tests and a chest X-ray. One of our GMC certified doctors will perform the examination. Although we can't guarantee either a male or a female doctor, you do have the right to have a chaperone present to the examination.

These consist of the following: HIV test, syphilis screen, measles and rubella vaccination certificates or proof of measles and rubella titres, stool examination (some nationals only). Either a doctor or nurse will do these at the same time as your medical examination.

A chest X-ray is required and will need to take place at a local hospital. We’ll arrange this appointment for you and make sure it goes as smoothly as possible. Please note this may be subject to change and an alternative provider may be used for the chest X-ray. You will, however, be able to choose your own appointment time. They're opening times are 9 am to 7pm weekdays and 9am to 12 p.m on Saturdays. You don't need to pay anything to Spire Hospital as Health Klinix will cover this cost. Taiwan visa medical price

The cost of the Taiwan visa medical report is £341, inclusive of chest X-ray. If you need any other tests or vaccinations after your medical, these will come as an additional charge.

Frequently asked questions
  • A medical visa examination and blood tests for Taiwan will take 45 minutes. 

  • For your appointment you should:

    • Complete your personal details on the medical form, a copy of which you can obtain here: Medical certificate for Taiwan visa  type B and bring it with you to the examination

    • Complete an online Health Klinix Travel Risk Assessment form for your visa medical appointment

    • Wear loose fitting clothing

    • Bring a passport size photograph

    • Bring identification with you, such as a photocard driving licence or passport

    • If you wear glasses please bring them with you

    • You don't need to fast for the blood test and make sure you’re well hydrated before the blood test

  • Please allow 5 working days to receive your Taiwan visa medical report. We'll have to wait 3-5 working days for the results of your blood test and chest X-ray, and only after receiving the results are we able to issue the medical report.

    Health Klinix can make a careful travel risk assessment and make recommendations on the vaccinations that you might need. There’s normally a consultation charge for this but as you're already having a medical examination, the cost of the travel consultation is free and you’ll only pay for any vaccinations you receive.
